Rarely does a novel manage to be so abstract and fluid and yet so clearly relatable. b, Book, and Me is a smart, beautifully written, masterfully translated work of Korean fiction that makes for a frightening yet true-to-life story of self-discovery and friendship.
Conversing mostly in English, their relationship blossoms quickly; and Nadia, through Ilma, has fallen in love with the fascinating world of Joseon (Korea), demanding to be stolen into it so that she might discover its fashion, its theatre, and its art for herself.
The workshop steps are the same. We have 2 phases. A first discovery phase where we ask people to describe and relate to some of the biases. Another phase where we ask them to build the most evil experience possible. On top of that, we add a small icebreak at the beginning of the session. This helps people not used to tools like Miro (or Mural of Figjam) discover those without too much pressure.
This specification specifies content conformance requirements for verifying the accessibility of EPUB®Publications. It also specifies accessibility metadata requirements for the discoverability of EPUBpublications.
The specification also discusses the practice of optimizing EPUB publications for specific readingmodalities. In these cases, the content cannot meet the broad accessibility requirements of thisspecification, but by following its discoverability and reporting requirements EPUB creators canimprove the ability of users to determine if the content still meets their needs. Refer to 4. Optimized publications for more information.
Creators of such EPUB publications should create content in conformance with the accessibility anddiscoverability requirements of this specification. EPUB creators should also upgrade to thelatest version of EPUB to get access to the most advanced accessibility features and techniques.
Ensuring that any interested party can discover the accessible qualities of an EPUB publication istherefore a primary concern. An EPUB publication can have more than one set of sufficient access modes depending on the alternatives provided toenable reading in another mode. For example, if alternative text and descriptions are provided forall the images in a publication, it would have both its default textual and visual sufficient accessmode and a purely textual sufficient access mode.
This specification assumes that conformance and discoverability metadata will be processed andpresented in a human-readable manner, removing the need for a summary unless there is additionalinformation to express. Such processing is not available in all market segments, however, particularly in library systems. Publishers should consider this limitation when decidingwhether to include a summary and what to state in it.
Accessibility metadata can also be included in linked records [epub-3] (i.e., metadata records referenced from linkelements), but the inclusion of such metadata solely in a linked record does not satisfy thediscoverability requirements of this specification.
Similar studies conducted by Ash and Kluger-Bell (2012); Byker, Harden, Heafner, and Holzberg (2017); Ahmad et al. (2014) discovered that learners preferred and performed much better with confirmation level of inquiry compared to guided, structured and open inquiry because teachers provide every needed conditions and allow the student the freedom to learn independently in the confirmation level. In the same vein, Ghaemi and Mirsaeed (2017) investigated the impacts of inquiry-based learning approach on critical thinking skill of EFL students, and revealed that doing inquiry-based activities in EFL classroom increased the critical thinking ability of the students.
The intervention was an inquiry-based argumentative essay writing instruction delivered for 4 weeks using the aforementioned teaching material. In the teaching-learning process students discover their own writing topics, generate ideas, evaluate what they have and what they need, gather and evaluate information from different sources, write up drafts with evidences, discuss with colleague and subject area experts for feedback, and write up essays related to their real life situation. When the intervention was given, the Student-Reflection Journal was collected from the students.
In a similar manner, another participant also reported that in inquiry-based learning, she discovered her writing topic, searched for information, and evaluated, criticized and analyzed the collected data, and wrote drafts, incorporated necessary feedbacks, and produced effective essays in contrast to the previous methods. She further explained that during this process, her critical thinking skills were enhanced due to the instruction given through inquiry-based learning. Similarly, another respondent also said that after learning through inquiry-based learning, his critical thinking skills were enhanced. As he further elaborated, he could become to analyze and evaluate information in writing argumentative essays while using this method.
The discovery of a novel serum autoantibody (termed NMO-IgG or AQP4-Ab) in a subset of patients in 2004 has revived interest in neuromyelitis optica (NMO). While the history of classical multiple sclerosis has been extensively studied, only little is known about the history of NMO. In the present article, we provide a comprehensive review of the early history of this rare but intriguing syndrome. We trace the origins of the concept of NMO in the 19th century medical literature and follow its evolution throughout the 20th and into the 21st century. Finally, we discuss recent proposals to revise the concept of NMO and explain why there is indeed a need for a more systematic and descriptive nomenclature.
